This is a beautifully written and laid out overview of Pauli Murray's life, person and legacy. Having read several biographical works by or about Pauli Murray, I appreciate the completeness and candidness of this work. The target audience is age 10-14, but I think anyone can appreciate this clear and concise book. It should be required for reading and discussion in upper elementary or middle school civics and history, ESPECIALLY in Durham NC, where Pauli spent many of their formative years. I highly recommend this book, and hope it is adopted into the curriculum of Durham Public Schools.
